Travel Restrictions

The good news is that Mexico recently ended all international and domestic COVID-19 travel restrictions. Foreign citizens must not submit proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test. You can get more information about travel restrictions by visiting the nearest Mexican embassy.

Travel Guidance

Please remember that your Mexican FMM expires in 180 days, and the Mexican authorities expect you to leave once your FMM expires. While ideally, you should leave before the expiration date, if you stay longer than 180 days, the authorities may take strict action against you.

Also, if you have a Mexico E-Tourist Card, you can only engage in tourism activities. Similarly, you can only engage in business activities if you have a Mexico E-Business Card.
