Visa Requirements

Overall requirements include a valid passport, passport-sized photographs with no background apart from a white screen, bank statements from the previous 3 months and documents that show you have a place to stay, whether it’s an acquaintance’s house or a hotel.

The Colombian government requires you to take a covid PCR test 96 hours before departure and show proof it came out negative. After landing, register your arrival with the local immigration authorities.

Business Visa

  • You must have a letter of invitation from the firm you will work with in Colombia
  • You must have a letter from your current employer detailing your reason for being on leave

Tourist Visa

  • If you are visiting to meet friends or relatives, you must show a letter of invitation from them
  • If you are employed, you must have a letter from your employer confirming you are on leave
  • If you are a minor, you must submit your original birth certificate

Work Visa

  • You must submit your employment contract
  • You must show proof no Colombian applied for the job you got
  • You must submit bank statements from 6 months prior to when you apply
  • You must confirm you will be paid above the minimum Colombian wage
