What Are the Requirements For A Colombian Tourist Visa?

There are a number of documents you need to provide while applying for a Colombia tourist visa:

  • An active valid passport. Make a duplicate of:
  1. The valid passport main page (holding your biographical information).
  2. Previous tourist visa for Colombia (if any).
  3. The most recent entry or exit stamp from Colombia (if any).
  • A passport-sized photo of yourself that must meet the following criteria:
  1. Dimensions are 3 x 4 cm.
  2. JPG format, no more than 300 KB in size (for online application).
  3. A white background.
  4. Taken over the recent three months.
  5. The face must be fully visible.
  • The previous six months’ worth of bank statements (as proof of financial resources)
  • A flight ticket and travel itinerary
  • Evidence of a place to stay or an address in Colombia
  • If you are paying a visit to a relative or friend, provide documentation proving your kinship or a justification for it
  • Information about the event or activity, the schedule, and agenda, the length of the event/activity, etc. if you plan to attend or participate
  • If traveling on business, the company’s registration documents, a letter of invitation from the firm, and information on what you will be doing there
  • The certificate of registration if you will be completing training or a study course

Duration Of A Colombian Visa?

The length of your Colombian visa is determined by the kind of valid visa you possess.

  • Up to 90 days tourist visa for Colombia is available. In some circumstances, they can be provided for up to two years, but not more than 90 days
  • Colombian Migrant Visas can be renewed and are valid for up to three years at a time
  • Colombia Resident Visas are issued for five years and are renewable once
