Aruba ED Card Process

If you’re looking for places to visit and spend your holidays, then there’s nothing more peaceful and relaxing than the beautiful island of Aruba. The island is small and has some of the most stunning beaches you’ve ever seen. The sands of the beaches never get hot, no matter how hot the weather gets. If you want to experience Aruba Island with your family, you will require an Aruba ED card to enter the island. If it’s your first time visiting the island, then you must be very unaware as to how things are done but don’t worry, as this guide will answer all your concerns related to the Aruba ED card and it’s processing.

Online ED Card processing

The Aruba ED card or embarkation/disembarkation card is necessary for all travelers entering or leaving the Aruba Island, but before you travel to the Aruba Island, you must apply for the Aruba ED card form. As the ED card is now completely digitized, it’s far easier to fill it out compared to the old physical form that visitors to the island used in the past. The whole process is simple and straightforward.

·         First, you must go to the official Aruba portal and choose whether you’re a resident or non-resident. If you’re a tourist that is traveling to the island only for a visit, then you must select non-resident.

·         After you’ve selected “non-resident,” you will be notified by a pop-up that you have 7 days to fill out your Aruba ED card form before you travel to the country. You can also select your arrival date here.

·         On the next page, you will have to fill out certain personal information about yourself. This will include passport number, passport expiration date, first and last name, birth date, nationality, telephone number, etc. Ensure you correctly fill in all of this information and when you’re done, click “next.”

·         Now, you’ve to fill in further personal information such as employment details, gender, home address, etc.

·         In the fourth section of the ED card form, you’ve to provide important details regarding your flight, such as departure date, airline name, and accommodation name, and mention how many times you’ve previously visited the island of Aruba, etc.

·         You will also have to provide some information related to your visit to the Aruba Island.

·         After that is all done and correctly filled out. You will have to answer a couple of disclaimers about certain conditions that qualify you to board the flight, such as rules, regulations, testing, screening, etc.

·         After answering all that, you now have successfully completed your ED card form for traveling to Aruba. Ensure to do a recheck and make sure you haven’t did any mistakes. You will receive an answer from two possibilities: Qualified or denied. After you’ve submitted the form. If it says “qualified,” you will receive a barcode with a green checkmark, indicating that you are now granted access to the Aruba Island. The authorities at the airport will scan this barcode. Ensure you save it as it’s necessary for entry into the country.

E-mail notification

After you fill out all the necessary information in the Aruba ED card application form to obtain your ED card, you will receive the answer to whether you’re qualified for entry or denied via email. If it says you’re qualified for entry into the Aruba Island, there’ll be a barcode with a green checkmark. You’ve to save this barcode as it’s required to enter the island. You can take a printout or save it on your phone. The authorities at the airport will ask to see this barcode.

Wearing masks and additional safety measures

As of Mar 19, 2022, anyone traveling to Aruba Island is no longer required to present a COVID-19 negative result or any proof of vaccination. However, it’s advised to download Aruba’s health app to be informed about any updates in the health and safety regulations of Aruba and all recent requirements, measures, and instructions related to Covid-19.

There is also no need for Covid-19 vaccination passports to enter the island of Aruba. However, just as a safety measure, it is advised to travel fully vaccinated when traveling to the country. Keep in mind that this information can update anytime, so keep up-to-date with changes in Aruba’s safety rules and regulations.

You are needed to be wearing a mask at all times, social distancing is difficult, and masks, however, are not mandatory but are recommended. Ensure all travelers are wearing masks, especially the children.

Despite the changes in the health and safety regulations for traveling to Aruba, all visitors are still required to wear masks at all times when traveling to Aruba Island.
