These Mexican consulates are outlets for accepting and reviewing immigration applications, and they work under the supervision of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior in Mexico city for visa services.

How To Use Mexitel
Here are the steps you use Mexitel.
Do your Due Diligence
Before you submit an appointment request on Mexitel, you need to prepare all the necessary information you need to complete the application form. You need
· Passport details
· Procedure name
· Consulate address
· When you will be available
Armed with this information, you can then log onto the Mexitel website. Note that you cant use an old passport that has expired.
Create An Account
The next step is to create an account on the website. Once you open the site, navigate to the right side of the homepage to select your preferred language. EN is for English speakers. Note that only very few words are in English as the rest are in Spanish, but you will still be able to find your way through.
Click “create an account.”
There are different fields on the account opening page, so make sure you fill each one with accurate information. Some of them include your
· Parents surnames
· Phone number
Then set your password between 12-45 characters with one upper case and lower case letter.
Once you click the submit button, an email will be sent to your link. After clicking the link, you can access thr booking portal.
You must log in to the website using your username and password to open the page. Click on the schedule button, and the form will appear.
Enter the necessary information requested, your country, and other personal details like your gender and other details.
At the next step, the portal will ask you for a Mexican passport or a consular number. If you don’t have one, select No, then click the Continue button.
This action will ask you to confirm your procedure. If you wish to apply for residence, click visa. Make sure you are certain of what you want to apply for so you don’t choose the wrong option.
The system will ask if you have authorization from Mexico’s INM. If you don’t, click the’’ No INM” to indicate that you don’t have any authorization yet. They choose between temporary or permanent residency.
You should also tick the disability button and lastly, provide your emergency contact address and email address.
To complete the process, a calendar will open up, so feel free to choose a date you prefer. Once the date is booked, you will receive an Email confirming that date.
Note that the requirements vary from one consulate to the other, so you may be asked to provide certain information. For instance, while the consulate in one country may request your financial records, another may not request such a piece of information.
